I am Nicolas Gomes, a fourth-year Undergraduate Student pursuing Architectural Engineering at the University of Waterloo located in Waterloo Ontario, Canada.

Throughout my concepts, I try to portray my ideas and thoughts through sketches, communication, computer simulations, constructing physical testing structures, and computational three-dimensional modelling. I constantly continue to extend my design creativity and challenge myself to construct un-seen unorthodox products and building forms that have the ability to be structurally proper.

Fascinated by the built environment throughout childhood, I began working as an architectural technologist at the age of 16. Following this, subsequently developed a keen eye for detail and perfected the craft of technical drawings for complex building systems and geometries. I continue to prove a self-driven attitude through the self-teaching proficiency of Building Information Modelling (BIM), Computer Aided Design (CAD) technologies, and critical physical modelling practices.

I am a student that is dedicated to inventing new structural constituents that can change how the world views architecture and the engineering involved through sustainability and new technological analyzing strategies.
